Bodo/Glimt has earned half a billion in Uefa revenue after their success in Europe. The club has also increased revenue in Eliteserien by 25 percent. This is a significant increase compared to last year. Bodo/Glimt has played their way to the semifinals in the European League in the 2024/25 season and participated in the attractive and lucrative Champions League group stage. This has contributed to the large revenue increase at Aspmyra. Eliteserieklubben has also increased revenue in 2025. According to Deloitte, Eliteserieklubben has exceeded their total costs for the first time, reaching 3 billion kroner. The reason was primarily increased personnel costs for players, coaches, and support staff. Increased revenue also led to increased spending on player purchases. Eliteserieklubben purchased players for a record-high 654 million kroner last year, an increase of 60 percent from the previous record in 2024. Regarding the sale of players, last year ended close to the record year of 2023. For the second time, players were sold for over 1 billion kroner in total. The sale of Sverre Nypan to Manchester City broke the record for the most expensive Norwegian player sold from Eliteserien, and a total of five players were sold for over 50 million kroner in 2025. The revenue from player sales has become an important and integrated part of the club's economy. Only four clubs generate a profit without player sales, while 14 of 16 clubs have a positive result after player sales. The Toppfotballbarometer also points out that Viking took their first series gold since 1991, despite having the fifth highest cost level in the league. Sandefjord overperformed the most in terms of costs, ending eight places higher than the budget would have allowed. Molde stood out with the opposite result. Despite having the second highest cost level, they only finished 10th in the table.
